Returning to Mario Kart DS

So, one of the GOATs of all time, Summoning Salt, put out a new video about Mario Kart DS. I’ve always loved MKDS and even thought it was the best MK game to date. At some point, I got discouraged from improving at the game because “it’s too hard,” “snaking hurts my hands,” “mk8 is the best one anyway.”

WRONG. The video resparked the passion between me and this old racing game. I decided that, at the very least, I was going to upload all of my time trials to the official players page and get ranked. Then, maybe I’d be motivated to beat all my hard earned times?

Well, I did upload my times. I did get ranked, and it did motivate me to try time trials again. I wasn’t wrong about snaking hurting my hands.

As of August 8th, 2024, I was placed 1253th out of 1472 🏆.
I think that’s pretty good for times I landed back in like 2010.

Since then I’ve improved some times! I think I improved Luigi’s Mansion by 9 whole seconds. Insanity.
